We are an ISV of an enterprise Vendor Onboarding and Accounts Payable Automation web application, used by large organizations to digitize supplier onboarding, invoice processing, and approval workflows.
We are looking for a Technical Architect who will own the end-to-end solution architecture for client implementations, translating business requirements into scalable, secure, and compliant solution designs across multiple customer environments.
This role is architecture-heavy with strong emphasis on documentation, integration design, security, and AI-enabled OCR workflows, and will work closely with product, engineering, DevOps, and client stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Solution Architecture & Design:
a) Own the solution architecture for client-specific implementations of the Vendor Onboarding & AP Automation platform.
b) Design logical, physical, and deployment architectures covering:
• Vendor onboarding workflows.
• Invoice ingestion, OCR, validation, and posting.
• Approval workflows and exception handling.
• Multi-tenant SaaS / private-cloud deployments.
c) Ensure architecture is scalable, highly available, secure, and compliant with enterprise standards.
2. Architecture Documentation (Primary Responsibility):
a) Create and maintain high-quality architecture artifacts, including:
• Solution Architecture Documents (SAD).
• High-Level and Low-Level Design (HLD / LLD).
• System context, component, and sequence diagrams.
• Data flow diagrams (DFD).
• Integration and interface specifications.
b) Ensure documentation is client-ready, audit-friendly, and aligned with internal standards.
3. Integration Architecture:
a) Design and document integrations with enterprise systems such as:
• ERP systems (e.g., SAP S/4HANA, ECC, Oracle ERP, etc.).
• Identity and Access Management (SSO, OAuth, SAML).
• Third-party compliance, tax, or validation services.
b) Define API contracts, message flows, error handling, retries, and reconciliation mechanisms.
4. AI / OCR Architecture:
a) Define solution patterns for OCR and LLM-based AI components, including:
• Invoice ingestion pipelines.
• OCR engines and accuracy-enhancement workflows.
• LLM-assisted extraction, validation, and enrichment.
b) Collaborate with AI/ML teams to ensure:
• Explainability and traceability.
• Performance and cost considerations.
• Secure handling of documents and sensitive data.
5. Security, Compliance & Governance
a) Participate in client security and architecture reviews to explain solution design, data flows, and application of existing organizational security controls.
6. Stakeholder Collaboration
a) Act as the technical bridge between:
• Client business & IT teams.
• Internal product, engineering, QA, DevOps, and AI teams.
b) Support presales and solutioning discussions when required.
c) Review and validate implementation approaches proposed by delivery teams.
Required Skills & Experience:

AI / OCR Exposure:
1. Hands-on or architectural exposure to:
a. OCR solutions for document processing.
b. AI / ML or LLM-based enhancement workflows.
2. Ability to architect AI components as part of enterprise workflows, even if not hands-on in model training.
Documentation & Communication:
1. Excellent ability to articulate architecture clearly in documents and diagrams.
2. Strong written and verbal communication skills for client-facing discussions.
3. Experience in conducting architecture walkthroughs and design reviews.
Nice to Have:
1. Familiarity with compliance frameworks (SOC2, ISO 27001, DPDP, GDPR).
2. Experience working in OEM / product companies serving multiple enterprise clients.
